David Fransik, CGB, GMB, CGP

David Fransik has been in the construction industry since 1985. He has spent most of his career on the construction side of the industry and has always possessed a passion for building science. This led him to Green Building in the late 1990’s and he has continued to pursue efficiencies, durability and comfort in residential construction. David has completed the education requirements and has received the designations of Graduate Master Builder, Certified Green Professional and Certified Graduate Builder from the National Association of Homebuilders and has also completed the American Lung Association Health House Builder Training Program. He continues to pursue countless hours of continuing education through these sources, as well as the Energy and Environmental Building Association (EEBA) where he is currently working towards a Certified Master Builder designation. He has served on the Rain Harvesting and Water Recycling Task Force for the Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC), where he helped put forth recommendations for the use of rainwater harvesting and water recycling guidelines adopted by the TRCC. Sierra Homes has also been recognized by TRCC for it exemplary performance by being designated as a Texas Star Builder. ( )

Teresa Fransik

Teresa Fransik began Sierra Homes with her husband, David, in January 2002. After 15 years of owning a veterinary practice and boarding/training kennel (Willow Run Kennels & Animal Clinic), she retired and moved to the Fredericksburg area of the Hill Country to help David pursue his dream of building durable, energy efficient homes. A graduate of Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine (1986), she enjoys managing the business details and financial management necessary to streamline the home building process. She provides the home owner with detailed, informative reports to aid the home owner in the decision making processes necessary to complete the construction of a new home. Teresa is on the Board of Directors for the Gillespie County Board of Health and is also an Ambassador for the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce. ( )
